Chair's Report 2023

The purpose of the PSFA is to help provide additional facilities for the children at our school.

Pictor continues to provide a caring and safe learning environment for pupils and a place of support for our families thanks to the dedicated staff who have gone over and above to achieve this.

The primary function of the PTA is to raise funds and to bring our school community together through social events. Our Christmas Market was a huge success with 10 local traders renting stalls. Family discos and Field Fun Days have continued through the year, in July we held a summer BBQ which was well attended

The outdoor toilets are now in place and are useful during the school day, during events and for parents who use our field out of school hours.

The PSFA have funded bike repairs, staffing at Bendrigg.  We have been successful in applying for grants from Altrincham Rotary Club and The Lauriston Trust which have paid for two M and M Theatrical productions at school, The Hobbit and Aladdin which we will see in January. In March we raised £300 from our virtual duck race.

We are also very grateful to parents who have organised their own fundraising events, in July a parent was joined by some staff in the Tuff Mudder challenge, the team raised £1600.

We have recently set up our school lottery, this is all done online through the Gatherwell Ltd lottery group, an ethical lottery provider. More information is on the document below.

We have already secured a grant from Happy Days towards the cost of the annual Bendrigg residential. The PSFA support this every year by paying staff costs.

In 2024 we will continue to fundraise to improve our outdoor areas and support our children. We will encourage our membership to continue to grow.

Thank you for your support.
