  • Year 6 Bendrigg Residential 2023

    Mon 10 Jul 2023

Our Year 6 children spent a great week at Bendrigg Residential Centre in the Lake District in June. This was our 16th stay at Bendrigg, we always get a very warm welcome and have a great time. This year we even got wonderful weather!

The children were able to take part in a range of activities including canoeing on Windermere, rock climbing, archery, abseiling and the zip wire.

The holiday is invaluable to our children, they gain confidence, increased self-esteem, and independence skills. They have the opportunity to access opportunities not usually available to them with staff they know and skilled tutors.

Thank you to everyone who made this holiday happen, the children and their families, the staff volunteers, the PSFA and all those who helped fund the cost.

  • Pictor's 50th Anniversary

    Thu 23 Sep 2021

This year it is Pictor's 50th anniversary and on Saturday 18th September we held a huge party to celebrate.

The celebration was attended by around 500 people, including many past and present staff, pupils, and their families.

The Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Trafford opened the event, they were followed by our guest speaker, former pupil and now barrister, Daniel Holt, who gave an inspiring speech.

Flixton Community Brass Band provided the music, and the children were entertained by Jon of Circus Sensible, a Pictor favourite.

There was a wonderful art display by former pupil Emilio Lisboa and an interesting Pictor history display.

We would like to give a huge thank you to Oliver Valves of Knutsford, long-time supporters of Pictor, who sponsored the event. Without their generous donation of £1500 the celebration would not have been able to take place.

Thank you to everyone who came along.
