Chairs Report 2022

Pictor PSFA 2022

The purpose of Pictor PSFA is to help provide additional facilities for the children at our school. This meeting details our work from September 2021.

Pictor has continued to provide a caring and safe learning environment for our pupils and a place of support for our families. I would like to say a thank you to the dedicated Pictor Management team,  staff and parents. They have gone over and above to achieve this.

The primary function of the PTA is to raise funds and to bring our school community together through social events. Our first Christmas Market held in December was a huge success with 10 local traders renting stalls. We held a virtual Valentine’s Day balloon race during February half term and in May we held an adults only theme night at the Excelsior Club in Sale to celebrate the jubilee. Family discos and Field Fun Days have continued through the year. In July we held a summer BBQ which was well attended.

Some of the money made from these events will go towards the cost of providing outdoor toilets. Asda donated £1500 and we reached our target with a £10,000 grant for Trafford Housing Trust in June. Plans are now being drawn up and we hope to have the toilets in place by May.

We have been lucky enough to be benefactors in Tesco Groundwork scheme and the Coop Community fund. We were successful in the Asda Green Token vote and received £400 to buy a shed for the forest. We are also very grateful to parents who have organised their own fundraising events.

We have received generous grants of £3000 and £650 towards the cost of the annual Bendrigg residential. The PSFA support this every year by paying staff costs.

We received a grant of £150 towards the cost of repairing bikes, the PSFA funded the rest of the cost.

Fundraising and expenditure will be discussed in more detail in the Treasurers report to follow.

In 2023 we will continue to fundraise to improve our outdoor areas, specifically the new Key Stage 1 playground, and support our children. We will encourage our membership to continue to grow.

Thank you for your support.
