Chairs Report 2021

Pictor PSFA 2021

The primary function of the PTA is to raise funds and to bring our school community together through social events. This proved challenging in 2020 however we managed to overcome this. We held a virtual Christmas Fair with some of the usual attractions in a different format and a Christmas Quiz. We were also lucky to be able to hold a wonderful 50th celebration sponsored by Oliver Valves in Knutsford.

We received some funding this year by taking advantage of the many covid grants available. We were able to buy Ipads with a £2000 grant form Earnest Cook and outdoor seating using a £500 grant from Tesco. Timperley Ladies Bowling Club were again extremely generous and funded our outdoor xylophone.

Once again, we were the Coop Charity of the Year and were successful in our Tesco  Groundwork application, this ran until the end of December, we have yet to find out how much we will receive.

Asda have continued to be extremely generous and are keen to become more involved with the school. They donated £500 to our 50th celebration and came along, they attended our last Field Fun days providing activities and refreshments and hope to join us each month.

We have supplied school with more bikes. These have been very popular. The outdoor classroom is now in the forest. The Bendrigg residential took place just 2 weeks after lockdown ended, PSFA paid the staffing costs.

We held our very first outdoor Christmas Market in November 2021 which was extremely popular, the event along with a successful raffle raised in excess of £1000.

We are once again nominees for the Coop Local Community Fund, this will run for a year. Asda have chosen us as nominee for their monthly Green Token Fund, we have asked for a shed to store Forest School equipment in, depending on votes we will receive a minimum £300.

Hopefully 2022 will mean we can welcome our families back into Pictor for events and discos.

We will continue to fundraise to improve our outdoor areas, help fund the annual year 6 residential and support our children.

Our main project this year is to provide outdoor toilets on the field.

Thank you for your support.
